His wife, and two daughters died of tuberculosis, in an epidemic in around 1900. George died in 1918 near Ava, Douglas County, Missouri. He was buried at the Good Hope Cemetery, in Good Hope, Douglas County, Missouri. George was seventy four years old, when he died. He out lived his wife, Bethany Jane by about sixteen years. Richard A. Wood was the eighth child, born to William C. Wood, Jr. and Mary B. Williams. As a youth, Richard was called Dick or Dickey. He was born in 1856 in Carter County, Missouri. Richard married Sarah C. in Carter County, Missouri. We don’t know her last name. Sarah was called Sally, throughout her life. We don’t know if Richard, and his wife were the parents, of any children. He died in 1881 in Missouri. Richard was only about twenty five years old, when he died. The ninth child, born to William C. Wood, Jr. and Mary B. Williams was Elijah Wood. He was born in 1859 in Wayne County, Missouri. We believe, that Elijah Wood was the twin, of Emily Lucinda Wood. Elijah is sometimes listed as P. Elijah Wood. His nickname, as a child, was Eli. We don’t know who he married, or when they were married.
