Jesse Mason was born in 1774, at Surry County, in the State of North Carolina and died on the First day of June, in 1850, at Near Boone County, in the State of Missouri. He was the son of Ralph Mason, III, who was born in 1737, at Edgecombe County, in the State of North Carolina and died in 1808, at Robertson County, in the State of Tennessee and Elizabeth Strickland, who was born in 1755, at Nash County, in the State of North Carolina and died in 1854, at Robertson County, in the State of Tennessee.
Jesse Mason was a Baptist Minister, by profession all of his life. He died while going home, on horseback, after speaking at a service one evening.
Jesse Mason was married to Mary Sugg. She was born in 1775, in the State of in Edgecombe County, in the State of North Carolina and died in about 1845, at Boone County, in the State of Missouri. They were the parents of:
